Colouring, cows and a million-dollar question
Dr Kitty Meeks
School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow
Windsor Building Auditorium
Network datasets – representing social, biological or physical systems – are all around us. Answering most questions about such networks turns out to be very computationally challenging, with most mathematicians believing there are no algorithms that will work well on all networks. Dr Meeks will discuss how we can overcome this issue in some specific examples relevant to understanding the incidence of diseases.
